Filmistaan does not have the star-studded cast, but the core message depicted by the movie makes it a beautiful tale. The strong performances by it's actors, as one of the best films made with a social message. Sunny, who is a struggling assistant film director has a dream of becoming a superstar. While working on a project with an American crew, a terrorist group mistakenly capture them! The film provides a great lesson to India and Pakistan with some added humour.

While Watching Being Cyrus will have its share of one-offs, this film is extremely well written and executed, with the script as well as the performances. Cyrus Mistry is persuaded by Katy Dinshaw to murder her father-in-law Fardoonjee, so that she can spend time with her brother-in-law Farrokh. 

If you are a fan of crime and drama, you can't miss this one! After the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts rip the city apart, the police force launches a massive drive to catch the perpetrators. Black Friday is one of the best document drama ever made.

Masaan is one of the most underrated and of the finest Bollywood films of all time. The movie which gave us the famous dialogue "ye dukh kahe khatam nahi hota". Vicky Kaushal got entry in the Bollywood with the movie, the focuses on a women called Devi who struggling to shake off her pre-martial sexual relations and a couple trying to rise above from their casteist society. 

A Wednesday is one of the kind that will force you not to move anywhere from your seat. The movie is a true example of power performance. A retired police commissioner shares his one of the most memorable case when an ordinary citizen challenged him with a bomb scare in Mumbai. It won the Indira Gandhi Award for best debut film by a director for Neeraj Pandey, as well as the IIFA award for best story.

The powerhouse performances elevated Parched into one of the best films made with a social message. The story focuses on four women who talk about men, sex and life while struggling with their individual lives.

The combined efforts of a stellar ensemble of actors makes Paan Singh Tomar one of the best underrated films of Bollywood. A successful athlete who is forced to become a member of armed robbers when his mother was murdered and the police did not place any investigation. The movie shows how corruption can make a nobleman fight for what he believes to be the truth.

One of the most underrated Bollywood movies is “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”. The movie is based on the life of a famous athlete, who was born to a Sikh family in Amritsar, India. He became an athlete against all odds and went on to win accolades for his country.

If you are a fan of romantic comedy movies, chances are that you have seen Bollywoods mainstay comedy movies. It is unfortunate that an amazing film like Socha Na Tha flopped at the box-office, whereas a few more forgettable ones went on to join the Rs.100 crore club.

The film follows four fierce women from a small Indian town as they attempt to steal some of freedom from the boundaries of their restrictive living India. The men in the movie are completely one-dimensional -- it is almost like their sole role is to serve as obstacles on the way of the womens emancipation. 

Women watching Lipstick Under My Burkha will be able to relate to at least one of the stories of these women, and that fact alone wins for the movie.

Bollywood has given us a lot of star-studded movies, but a lot of them did not do very well at the box-office - that is likely the reason most of us missed seeing them. We have not witnessed much in terms of quality from the thriller genre from Bollywood, but still, we have some solid numbers of films that you can enjoy over the weekend or with a bag of popcorn.
