In Time Movie
In Time is a 2011 American dystopian science fiction thriller film written, directed and produced by Andrew Niccol and starring Amanda Seyfried and Justin Timberlake. 25, and everyone has a clock on their wrist that counts down how long Andrew Niccol Amanda Seyfried should live as their people. Time is a sci-fi film in which people stop aging at 25. When they turn 25, they stop ageing and their clock starts counting the year; when it reaches zero, that person "fails" and dies.
Before the film was titled "In Time", the titles "Now" and "I am Mortal" were used. At the same time, most of the film was assembled from standard elements. It makes sense that we return to this theme again and again in films.
I believe this film is an allegory that time is money, in a brutally direct way. A film about what Will will always do and whether the rich will be compensated for what the rest of society does. Furious at the system, Will vows to use 116 years wisely and make those responsible pays.
Will embarks on a daring journey to a wealthy neighbourhood of the time called New Greenwich. Will Salas visits his friend Borel, who warns him not to spend so much time in Dayton and gives him 10 years, one for each year of their friendship before he meets his 50-year-old mother Rachel to travel to New Greenwich. . Will Salas and his 27-year-old daughter Sylvia barely have time, but they survive by making her day's wages.
Now, to put an end to the system, Will Salas and his 27-year-old daughter Sylvia has robbed Weiss' time bank to distribute extra time capsules to those in need, only to quickly discover that their prices don't make much of a difference Just go up faster. Make up for the extra time. In a scene reminiscent of Hamilton's death, Will Salas and his mother Rachel ran towards each other with seconds left. This time he had time to save her. The next morning, he gave Will Salas all but 5 minutes before falling off the bridge before Will stopped him, running out of time. When Will woke up, he saw that Hamilton had given Will all his time, and before he could get it back, Hamilton happily left.
At one point, Will and Sylvia narrowly made it, and Justin Timberlake nearly deprived a rich woman of her entire time, actually killing her. By robbing banks and redistributing precious time to the poor, Sylvia and Will become future Bonnie and Clyde: time robbers. One night, Will rescues rich man Henry Hamilton (Matthew Bomer) from a mob (not the coolest guy like Alex Pettyfer) who are hiding in a warehouse.
At the secret location, Hamilton, 116 years old but tired of life, tells Will Salas that the people of New Greenwich save most of the time, constantly raising prices so that the poorest people die. The timekeepers rob him of all but two of his watches, and Will retaliates by kidnapping Sylvia (Amanda Seyfried), the wealthy daughter of the heartless titan Philip Weiss (Vincent Kartheiser). Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) and Sylvia Weiss (Amanda Seyfried) manage to raid Sylvia's father, Philip Weiss (Vincent Kartheiser), a personal vault and steal a million years.
Justin Timberlake plays Will Salas, a citizen from an unknown future or parallel world (with relatively modern sets and costumes) who finds himself fleeing the laws of a future or parallel world that Will Salas cannot explain. In Time, he plays Justin Timberlake as Will Salas, a 28-year-old living in a dystopian future where time has replaced money as the world standard currency.
As explained in the aerial prologue of In Time, some breakthrough in genetic engineering has changed human life so that everyone stops ageing at 25, when they are exactly one year old. Every person has a timer on their arm and at 25 you are given one year of free time after which you die unless you find a way to have more time. Obviously, their goal was to live forever.... [In Time are] not intentionally linked, but the consequences are so great. It's a lot of fun to cook it all up, and it looks like the movie could even be something quite inspiring when an impoverished Will Salas, who usually doesn't have more than one day left, is given a hundred years of a rich man's life as a gift. ... a centenarian who is apparently 25 years old and has lived so long that he is fed up with it, lived a rich centenary.
Andrew Niccols' films as a writer/director include Gattaca, starring Ethan Hawke as a rare self-made male in a world of genetically engineered superfolk, and Simone or S1mOne, in which the director creates a sexy new star from a computer program. .
